Who would have thought a Cardinal would beat an Eagle.
And who would have thought they'd see Kurt Warner in another Super Bowl.
I love the upsets, the unrecognizable, the turn of events, and the underdogs.
Isn't this why we watch football for 18 weeks, with beer-drinking buddies, in front of that big screen, that really doesn't shout back when we shout at it , stomp and yell, wear painted faces, make silly bets, and buy each other team underwear?
We wait for the Super Bowl!
Pittsburgh Steelers vs Arizona Cardinals
Two quarterbacks, wanting ring number two. Delicious indeed!
If we were going for the typical "Defense beats Offense", you'd be quick to say that the Steelers should celebrate.
They've got Ward and Holmes, and Sweed.
Big Ben has managed to avoid sacks in the post season.
They are ranked the #1 defense in the NFL.
But how did the Cardinals get here?
With an experienced and stellar Quarterback, who leads the NFL in completions and touchdowns.
The Cardinals have three great receivers with over 1,000 receiving yards this season, in Larry Fitzgerald, Anquan Boldin, and Steve Breaston.
Edgerrin James has 52 carries for 203 years and a touchdown.
In the playoffs they have lead all other teams with 9 takeaways.
And then there's Dominique Rogers-Cromartie, a player with only one kidney; with 6 interceptions in 11 starts.
So when you say, "it's a miracle the Cardinals are in the Super Bowl", think again.
I'm picking the Cardinals.
I love this game!
