If you missed the Jets-oops, I mean Miami vs Pats game last Sunday, you missed a game that brought the Pats to their knees!
My girlfriend Iness, who's actually from Argentina and a die-hard Jets fan, had just one reaction;
"WHERE WAS CHAD BEFORE!?"
There was even more pain knowing that the one time she picked the Pats to win-something she never did before-came right back and bit her in the derrier , just like it did the Pats.
I'm sure she's not the only one that took the sucker punch.
But let's face it, the Dolphins didn't look like the Dolphins, thus the Pats didn't look like the Pats.
Question: are the Patriots that reliant on Brady or is it that Bill Belichick can't adjust?
Then ask yourself this: is the presence of Mr. Parcells already seeping through the sidelines of the Miami Dolphins?
I'm leaning toward the latter. I can only give a big shout out to the Dolphins that gave us a game we hadn't seen from that team in a very long time.
Bravo and bring on those Bills!
Bears vs Eagles
Last week I flipped a coin on the Bears-Bucs game. Turns out, there I was, screaming with all the other die-hard "Go Bears!" fans-the game goes into overtime, and Brian Griese was on to sweet victory! Brian Griese, of the Tampa Bay Bucs that is. You can't blame the guy for wallowing in his glory.
With the Bears 'tough as nails' attitude, they could very well beat a shaken up Eagles team.
And here we go again! Westbrook has a "strained ankle" or is it really sprained ? And McNabb, showing signs in his last third quarter, with a bruised chest or is it really a fractured collarbone? Hmmm, gotta wonder where we're at with the good ole' beat up Eagles.
I like the momentum the Bears left with last week.
I'm picking the Bears.
Bengals vs Browns
With this match up, at least we know one of them will make their first victory and 'get going already!'
After watching the Bengals almost defeat the Giants in overtime, but the Browns showing no signs of coming out of the dark, I have to go with the driving power of Cincinnati .
I'm picking the Bengals
Raiders vs Chargers
A great rivalry within this division and should pan out to be a heck of a game.
Seems Rivers got his mojo back, after beating (up) the Jets-ouch, ewww, yuk! That game was painful to watch-for many reasons.
I guess Raider fans might feel the same, after watching the Bills defeat them 24-23, "in a game they had no business winning"? Hmmm, scratch my head.
In my book, a win is a win, and you best be on your game for at least four-plus quarters.
The Raiders defense shows greater force than the Chargers. I'm not too sure this defense beats out the aggressive offense of the Chargers.
I'm picking the Chargers.
Saints vs 49ers
The 49ers are 2-1. Should we have another drink or put a cork in it?
With Martz being fired by the Lions, whom they defeated last week, he was on to another sweet victory.
All around, you have to give two thumbs up to the new look of the offence. It looks real yummy from here!
As for the Saints, Brees passed for 421 yards last week, but scored only one touchdown. So what gives?
I think the Saints need to get their game on and march a little faster, a little harder, and make those field goals count. Oops, didn't mean to bring that up, Gramatica. Gosh, don't you hate it when it all depends on you.
I'm picking the 49ers
I love this game!
