With a new season underway, it's time to rally around the NFL and get ready for some FOOTBALL!
Week one is probably the toughest; it's like taking your motorbike out for the first time, after a long cold winter. You need oil and all that other lubing to get it going.
With my can of DW40, here I go!
Jets VS Dolphins
Can you scream J E T S !
If you weren't a Jets fan before, you might be now. With all eyes on Bret baby, oops that's Bret Farve, there's a new and greater chant in town. And it couldn't get any better for this team. Or could it?
That will be the question on all fans minds and for a team longing for a leader.
But this opener has more to be talked about; their not just playing another AFC rival, their playing against Chad Pennington!
How sweet is that!
For some reason I didn't envision Chad opening for anyone, anymore.
But hey, sometimes, it's all in a good coach to bring a player up, and with Parcels back in Chad 's corner, this is a great opener.
So Bret bring it on.! Let's see some of that jelling you had with the Packers and give the J E T S some hope.
I'm picking the Jets.
Cowboys VS Browns
A match up of offense against defense; and you know what they say about that?
The Browns will be interesting enough to watch, but did someone say that Anderson will start, but is suffering from a concussion? And that the Cowboys wide receivers are already un healthy? Hmmm, this could be very interesting indeed.
But with Parcels gone, perhaps Romo can relax a bit and just play ball.
I'm picking Dallas .
Colts VS Bears
Oh how we remember that Super Bowl XLI match up. Or was it the rain we remember more?
I love watching the Bears defense and all that manpower. Run-run! "Go Bears!"
With Manning's knee surgery, a hardy Bears defense might have no pity.
But with the Colts opening in a brand new stadium, they need to show some love and mess that turf up, with a Grand Opening Victory!
I'm picking the Colts.
Packers VS Vikings
I have to make a pick here, just because. If you read my picks from last year, I was all over the Packers, and that was because of Bret. But with him gone, let's see what remains with a great team left behind.
With all the hoopla over Bret's departure, I think this team will rally around what they had and their new starter quarterback, Aaron Rodgers.
Besides, there's something I like about his hands.
I'm picking the Packers.
I love this game!
