 "Dancing with the Stars" starts their new season this week and it's dancing time in the NCAA. ESPN's own Howie Schwab gets his dancing shoes on and lets us in on his picks for the NCAA Championship's "Big Dance" and answered my questions during the live show on Sunday night.
What are your thoughts on having a conference tournament to decide who does or doesn't make the NCAA tourney?
Conference tournaments are a fact of life and they are okay. The system will not change and the University of Georgia is a great example of a team redeeming itself and taking advantage of the system.
Who will be a big surprise? Who will disappoint?
I like Butler University , Western Kentucky , and Davidson as potential sleepers. The University of Tennessee will not make the Elite Eight
Who got a higher or lower seed than you thought they deserved?
Butler and Davidson are seeded too low. I was surprised the University of Miami was as high as seven. Virginia Tech University beat Miami by double figures and missed the tourney...hmm.
Who makes the Final Four? Who wins it all?
My final four is University of North Carolina , Kansas University, UCLA and Memphis University , the first time all four number ones make it. I picked North Carolina before the season to win it all, why change now.
Will George Mason do their best "déjà vu" and go to the Final Four again?
I have Notre Dame over George Mason-sorry Coach Larranaga .
Most Valuable Player in the Big Dance?
