It's Gobble-Gobble time and we got Football for Thanksgiving. Wehew! I don't know about you, but there's something about the smell of a Turkey , the thought of that pumpkin pie, and listening to a great game of Football. It's Turkey day in America and I've grown to love all their festivities of Thanksgiving. It's that time of year when every game counts, and the unexpected comes upon us; a reminder of why we love this game.
And on this same weekend in Canada , we have another big rivalry going on-the Grey Cup. Ah, that would be like the Super Bowl, but in Canada . And just to keep you all up to speed on 'all things' football, this year we have the Saskatchewan Ruffriders VS the Winnipeg Bluebombers. It's all about the West coast this year and two neighbors via for the Grey Cup title.
I grew up watching CFL and still love it today. There's good reason for that; if you were to compare the CFL to the NFL-ladies take a peek at Sundays game. These boys look much longer and leaner- and fast!; not as puggy as the NFL boys. Perhaps there's more juice below the border, and there seems to be more TO's and Chris Collinsworth's in the CFL. And it's no wonder; the field is longer and wider. So, if I were to choose one athlete over another-I'm going for long and lean and someone that can go the distance!
I'm just saying, you know. coming from a Women's perspective and all.
On to my Picks for week #12
Saints VS Panthers
What happened to the winning streak of the Saints? They've lost two in a row, but so have the Panthers. This will be a great rivalry; both wanting to keep second place in the NFC South. It wouldn't be too far fetched to say that the Saints could march to the top of this division.
With the Panther 0-4 at home, say no more!
I'm picking the Saints.
Jaguars VS Bills
Oh my God! Is all I have to say about the Bills. They must be hurt'n puppies, not Bulls.
But look at the noise the Jaguar's are making.
Another OMG! The Jaguars are showing face this year and I'm proud of them. They could be the surprise team of the year. Garrard is back and looking oh so yummy! But I say that with injured tackler, Mike Peterson, they may win but not cover the points.
The Bills need redemption!
I'm picking the Bills
Bears VS Broncos
The Bears have already been buried-in history. I just got back from Chicago and there's a lot of glum fans. They've pretty much given up hope.
As for the Broncos- you never know if they are going to show up like they did last Sunday.
The Bears are actually favored home at home and I think they are counting on Olsen to bring it back.
Let's give them some support.
I'm picking the Bears.
Packers VS Lions
Do you even need to ask?
The Packers have a six game winning streak on the road.
The Lions have rushed for a total of seven yards the last two games. They looked bad against the Giants.
The Packers are still on a roll-who can stop them now!
With the Packers playing on Thanksgiving, I'll be most thankful for another victory and can only say that my yummy Brett will be much better than any pumpkin pie.
More cheese please!
I'm picking the Packers.
I love this game!
