11 Things I Love About the 11th month

1. Cooler days are welcome after an Alabama summer.
2. No sweating before you even start your 5K.
3. Baseball is finally over. Sorry, but I just wasn't interested in watching the Cardinals-Tigers World Series.
4. College football's race for a BCS berth gets tighter-every play counts. Get ready for a lot of whining by the coaches whose teams get jumped in the polls.
5. Speaking of polls, the elections will be over, and the nasty political ads will go away for at least two years.
6. The NFL season is half over, and that means it's time to put up or shut up.
7. Veterans Day-remember all those who sacrificed, and those who are still serving.
8. Alabama and Auburn play Nov. 18 in one of the most intense college football rivalries in the nation. Roll Tide!
9. Thanksgiving Day football.
10. Turkey trots to burn off all the food we eat while watching Thanksgiving Day football.
11. A day to be grateful for a year of great sports.
