Favorite Fantasies - Sex or Football?

Just how huge is fantasy sports?
The world of fantasy sports follows the trend in sports, so it is that NFL fantasy football is the most popular game in this wide world of fantasy sports.
It's amazing to me how much the football world has embraced this obsession and added fantasy facts, stats and tips to its full complement of NFL football information.
If you haven't been involved in a fantasy league then you have absolutely no idea how obsessed an average, casual fan can become once they "own" a team and are intimately and emotionally bound by the wins and losses. Points and touchdowns take on a whole new meaning when it's the "Boozers" vs. the "GreatDames" going head to head in Week 12.
These fans become so immersed in their players and teams that they carry on like Jerry Jones on the sideline after an overdose of Starbucks espresso.
These fans have sold their souls.
Once you own a fantasy team you can no longer root for your favorite team with 100% unadulterated passion. Fantasy fans must check their hearts and traditional affiliations at the door as they monitor individual performances; which are oftentimes in direct and painful conflict with their favorite team's season goals.
But when Fantasy Football takes the place of sex in men's minds, then you have to believe that the world as we know it has gone stark raving football fantasy mad!
Survey Says!
A recent survey shows that men are now spending more time thinking about fantasy football than about sex! Now that is Un-American!
We as women have long known and accepted that men spend an inordinate amount of time thinking about sex. But that is not true of men who are obsessed with fantasies of a different kind, Fantasy Football.
In fact there may be a direct correlation between Fantasy Football and the growing number of ED (erectile dysfunction) cases and the increase in sales of Viagra, Levitra and Cialis. Your Fantasy Football guy may be too busy worrying about the results of his team to raise the level of his performance in his "house".
An online survey conducted by FantasyFootballChamps.com of men 22 and over showed that more than 40% of those responding rate Fantasy Football as their number one thought during the day. 30% said that sex remains their top thought daily. (Ah there are still a few good men!).
Asked about how much time during the day men actually thought about Fantasy Football, 58% said they spend from one to three hours each day thinking about it as opposed to 48% who are thinking about sex.
Even more amazing, 25% of respondents said they spend from four to eight hours day thinking about Fantasy Football while only 12% of respondents think about sex for that amount of time during football season.
Fight Back!
Okay ladies and gents (we know some of you Fantasy Freaks are women); here's how to fight back.
"Hey you what are you doing on that computer at 3 in the morning?"
"Nothing honey, just checking the injury list."
"Come on to bed, babe."
"Ok, but I still need to check all the running back stats for the week."
"Honey, are you about done with your fantasy research for the night?"
"Ah, no, sorry, I need to find a wide receiver to replace Randy Moss on my roster."
"Well maybe you'll find the perfect wide receiver right here in bed!"
Our Fantasy Football person goes into the bedroom to find his or her partner wearing pads, a helmet and nothing else.
This time Fantasy Football scores a touchdown!
