Renel Brooks-Moon - raising the bar

Renel Brooks-Moon - Raising the bar.
By Ivette Ricco
Femmefan.com was granted an exclusive interview with Renel Brooks-Moon, the Public Address Announcer for the San Francisco Giants.

Needless to say I was excited to have the opportunity to speak with a woman who is “setting the standard” for women who aspire for a career in sports broadcasting.

Renel was a bit tentative when I arrived. But as we spoke, in between announcements, calls and on-going action on the field, I felt her warm to the topics and relax as she shared some of her feelings and experiences with me. When the subject turned to the Raiders and the 49ers her trademark energy and enthusiasm became contagious!.

The Egg-on-Face Post-Derby Wrap-Up

By Devon Ellington
One doesn't expect to cash every ticket; however, since I've written about thoroughbred racing, I never had a day when NONE of my picks in the major race hit the board. It had to happen some day. And this year's Kentucky Derby was the day. more >>
The Sport of Revealing Clubhouse Secrets

By Jessica Quiroli
Privacy is becoming an obsolete in the age of reality television. It doesn't have the value it did a few generations ago, when families didn't go on tv shows to discuss their dirty laundry and finding a husband or wife was not a game show/competition played out for strangers to watch every moment of

The question of the week relates to the first NBA playoff game between Phoenix and San Antonio; why wasn’t Steve Nash in the game at the very end after he was injured?

La Russa the Great Enabler
By far the nicest thing I can say about the man. Wait, he takes a better mug shot than Nick Nolte. That too.
Going For It: The 2007 Stanley Cup Playoffs: A Premature End

By Jeff Hisaoka
Because San Jose Sharks general manager Doug Wilson acquired all-star right wing Bill Guerin at the trade deadline, thus implying/asserting his “Going For It” attitude/mindset, this die-hard Sharks hockey fan did something that would label me as “cocky” if my normal self had witnessed/observed it.
