Brent Leo Schaeffer was born and raised in Eagle River, Alaska worshipping the Arthurian heroes his father spun yarns about while bouncing him on his knee. The Philadelphia Eagles were more legend than team to a kid who never saw them on TV or read about them in the paper. This primitive passion for sports has followed Brent as he ventured forth from the homestead. First to San Francisco State University, where Brent received his Bachelor's of Arts in Creative Writing, and ultimately to the city the NFL forgot, Los Angeles. Brent is currently an espresso-slinging barista catering to the appetites and idiosyncrasies of West LA yuppies, while trying to scrap enough pennies and epiphanies together to be a writer.
