Dolphins Girl's Flag Clinic

As part of Women’s History Month, the Miami Dolphins will host a Girls High School Football Clinic, Wednesday, March 2 at the team’s indoor training facility in Davie. Over 450 female student athletes representing 16 high school teams participate in the clinic.  The Clinic is the first event of a two part series.  Teams will be broken up by position and Dolphns Alumni will be teaching the girls specific football drills.

The first event is a skills clinic available to young high school women in South Florida that teaches them the basic fundamentals of football. The camp was broken into two parts; offense and defense. At each station coaches demonstrated the proper stances and mechanics for each position or drill.  Over 450 ladies from South Florida will attend the clinic.

“Football is no longer a man’s sport,” said Twan Russell, Director of Youth and Community Programs. “Young women across South Florida are competing on the gridiron scoring touchdowns and learning life skills that only just thirteen year ago was exclusively for boys. The Dolphins are proud to continue to host this exciting clinic for youth development.”
