NFL Week 6 Picks

Crystal Ball
Five weeks down, 12 to go.
How is your team doing football fans?
There’s a lot of chatter on the radio and on the tube about the seeming lack of parity this season.
Understandable when you consider that we have a group of five currently undefeated, and a group of four without a single win.
The Cream
Colts 5-0
Broncos 5-0
Giants 5-0
Vikings 5-0
Saints 4-0
The Crap
Titans 0-5
Chiefs 0-5
Bucs 0-5
Rams 0-5
It is pretty extraordinary how lopsided some of these standing are as we enter week 6.
Which team will fall from the unbeaten ranks this week?
Which team has a shot at getting its first win of the season?
Your guess is probably as good as anyone else’s.
But I must say I am truly mystified by the Titans face plant.
This is the same team that led the NFL in wins last season.
There has been no change at quarterback or at head coach.
So what is up with that?
Very weird.
My team, the 49ers is on a bye this week.
Thank goodness. It was really ugly last Sunday as they were demolished by the Falcons in front of their fans.
To say we, 49er fans, were disappointed is a true understatement.
Coach Sing’s team has shown grit and determination in all their previous games. But that was not the case in this game.
The O-Line was horrific.
They couldn’t protect Hill, they couldn’t block for Coffee, and they looked like they needed to go home and take a nap.
It didn’t help that the defense played way below their ability, on a day that was punctuated by mistakes and mental errors.
With a bye week to lick their wounds and contemplate their mistakes and lack of offense, we hope to see important O-Line adjustments made to get the offense out of the cellar and on track.
They have a good chance shot at bouncing back against the Texans.
But they need to play better in every phase of the game.
This week there are some excellent match ups.
Giants vs. the Saints, Broncos at the Chargers, and Bears at the Falcons.
I don’t intend to get off my coach until every televised game is over and in the records books.
My week 5 picks were awful.
My week five record was 8-6.
Season record is 41-23.
Let’s see if I can rebound in week 6.
Eagles at the Raiders

Al Davis Crypt Keeper
Oh my oh my. The only way the Raiders will ever do well is if Al Davis steps down. The idea of moving them to LA is also a good and valid idea. The fans have had it and there is talk of a boycott. This game is blacked out locally. That’s the second week they have not sold out in time. Ugh.
Pick Eagles
Lions at Packers
Pick Packers
Giants at the Saints
The prime time contest of the week. This game will knock one of the teams out of the ranks of the undefeated.
I am picking the Saints at home. But it can go either way.
Pick Saints
Browns at the Steelers
Pick Steelers
Texans at the Bengals
Pick Bengals
Chiefs at the Redskins.
It’s time for the Redskins to gather a scalp.
Pick Redskins
Panthers at Bucs
Pick Panthers
Rams at the Jags|
Pick Jags
Ravens at the Vikings

Cardinals at the Seahawks

Bills at the Jets
